What do you need to know?

We follow every client’s personalized instructions.  So, our services are only as good as the information you give us and the expectations you share with us.

Here’s the low down on what’s expected of you & the summarized version of what’s in your client agreement when you sign up for services.

  • Contactless Services

Due to covid, we’re only serving empty homes for pet sitting and only providing 100% contactless dog walking.  During dog walks, any household members at home or working from home must stay on a separate level from us, and if within sight us us should always wear a facemask.

  • Use Your Online Account &  Keep It Up to Date

Use our online portal Time to Pet, or smartphone app, as the ONE place to keep all your personal profile and all your pet & home instructions up to date for us. (get new locks? change jobs and have a new work phone number? Let us know in your online account.)

  • Update the Pet Profile for Each Pet In Your Home

All your pet care instructions for our team must be in your Time to Pet account  (and we’ll remind you before you travel to re-read and update all details!)

  • Use of Pet Photos and Descriptions

We use client pet pictures and descriptions for social media purposes (without last names or addresses or anything identifiable in backgrounds). If you would like to opt out, you can via your Time to Pet account or by emailing our office.

  • Your Client Agreement Stipulates that You Hold Alexandria Pet Care Free From Liability

Animals are unpredictable! Please read your client agreement in Time to Pet.  Know that we take all precautions within our control to keep your pet safe and home safe when they are in our care.

  • Alert Us to Visitors

When you are expecting another individual to be at your home during our service times, let us know so we can be aware and plan accordingly.

  • Provide Supplies

Ensure that your pet will have enough supplies (food, treats, litter, medicines, etc.) for the duration of our visits and that we have access to cleaning supplies, extra paper towels and towels.

  • Ensure Access to Your Home

We will need keys in a lockbox outside, or two sets of keys for us to keep, or alternate instructions on how to enter your home. This can include door lock codes, garage codes, fobs, concierge pickup, etc.

  • Provide Travel Itinerary

When you are leaving the area, please provide your detailed travel plans (scheduled departure, expected return, flight or train information, hotel information) and any additional ways to get in contact with you.
