I have used Alexandria Pet Care 3 times now to watch my shy cat and each time has been amazing. They have taken the proper care to ensure she felt comfortable and during the duration of the visit she even was coming out to be petted by them. They went above and beyond caring for her by administering her medication, ensuring she felt comfortable, keept her food, litter and water clean and stocked and ensured that she was played with. They send updates with photos as well so you are fully aware of how your pet is doing while you are away. I could not recommend them more.

The team at APC is outstanding! We traveled abroad for 6 days and they ensured our dogs were safe, exercised, fed, and loved on the whole time. We appreciate the care the team takes in confirming schedules, arriving on time, staying engaged with our girls for the whole visit, and sending timely updates with pictures. This is a very professional pet care organization and we are so pleased with their services!

Alexandria Pet Care comes highly recommended. I have two large dogs, a German shepherd and an Aussie mix, and APC has been nothing short of phenomenal. My work schedule is quite hectic and they have been beyond flexible to attend to my pet care needs. What’s even better is my dogs LOVE them. They’re always happy in every photo I receive and are always stress free upon my return. I cannot recommend APC enough. They are professional, caring, and great communicators. I will be using them for as long as I’m in the area. Thank you APC for all you do!

Used Alexandria Pet Care once- and just scheduled them for a second weekend. I loved them so much and would recommend a thousand times over!! All the sitters came for a visit to meet my dog (Maple) first and were all so kind. I loved all of the photos and lengthy updates I got from each visit- it really put me at ease as I hate leaving my pup for any period of time! They are also extremely responsive via phone/e-mail even just for minor things like scheduling. If you are looking for in-home pet care in Nova-- do not hesitate to call them!!!

Alexandria Pet Care is the best team I could ask for. Alexandria Pet Care continues to be the best service I've ever used with my dogs. I work from home so my pet care needs are sporadic, usually when I'm travelling, which would normally be stressful for me and my pups. However, the pet care team put my worries to rest. Every time they come, my dogs are super excited to see them. We work with three different teammates and they take care of my dogs just like I do.All of them are Fear Free certified. If you don't know what that is, it's worth your time looking it up. Our story is not unique. We rescue St. Bernards and several years ago, right before the covid shut down, we rescued Lasai from the streets of Florida. He was dreadfully afraid of men and skeptical of everyone else. With the help of Alexandria Pet Care, we put together a special protocol for their visits which set Lasai at ease so he would allow them in the house. The patience and diligence of this group is undeniable. After covid, I got a note from them that they used what they learned from what I call "The Lasai Protocol" to help the reactive dogs that were homebound during covid adjust to new people. What this means it that you never have to worry that your dog will be treated any less lovingly than you treat them, and that they are treated with incredible patience.After learning about the Fear Free program, I also found a vet practice that was certified and it has made a huge difference in my dogs' life quality. I just used Alexandria Pet Sitters for the first time and I was so impressed by their professionalism and throroughness. We have two dogs and a cat and they all have very different habits and personalities and our sitters, Sheila and Amy, put them all at ease from the beginning. WONDERFUL in every way! We have two high maintenance working dogs that we prefer not to board. It is difficult to find a trustworthy service these days. Alexandria Pet Care has allowed us to leave our dogs at home in their every day environment alleviating the worrying while traveling. Everyone is great! They brought in our mail & packages. Notified us of any issues in the house - we had a plumbing leak that they caught early! Our dogs were well taken care of. We will recommend to everyone we can!

We've had 7 weddings this year (including our own!), and Alexandria Pet Care has been an absolute lifesaver. They've taken amazing care of our dog (who is reactive to new people) and lizard, always going slow and and taking the time to make sure our guy feels safe. The detailed updates and photos after every visit give us so much peace of mind. The front office is incredibly responsive and accommodating. Scheduling is so easy. We have been working with Alexandria Pet Care for almost 4 years now, and they are the absolute best! My two dogs, who are rescues, are the cutest... but when it comes to taking care of them, they are not the easiest to look after due to health issues and reactivity- this team has taken such good care of the boys and has never let their traumatic pasts come in the way of loving them! My significant other and I always know that our dogs are in the best care when we have to leave the dogs at home- the pictures, daily updates, and both boys loving those who work at APC (more than us sometimes) are a huge PLUS!!!! I cannot recommend this pet care business enough 🙂

Highly recommend this pet care business. While I was away for 10 days this winter, Alexandria Pet Care came over daily and took care of my mail, 2 fish tanks and 2 cats. I loved receiving a daily update and photos of my pets and was happy to come home and find my pets alive and well.
