Alexandria Pet Care, Inc.was founded in 2004 by Alexandria
resident Elizabeth Legere, who still serves as President
and General Manager.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. from Smith College. Her past
work experience includes global sales and marketing
for Holiday Inn Worldwide, and 10 years' consulting
to multinational corporations for Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
As a child, her love for animals started at the family
farm where she learned to ride horses, care for cows
and feed ducks.
Her past pets have included Heidi the Affenpinscher,
S’mut the Lilac-point Siamese, Shag the Bouvier
des Flandres and numerous hamsters who found their best
chances for escape during fancy-dress holiday parties.
Elizabeth currently has two rambunctious Portuguese
Water Dogs who love hiking, swimming and eating carrots.
